[스크랩] 대학생들이 영어를 바라보는 왜곡된 시각부터 바로 잡아야... (in English)

Many students come and say "I'm planning to get the score now that I'm going to graduate soon."

I understand. Most Korean college students just quit learning English right after they get into college. The circumstances are great and you get to know lots of '선배' and friends... Everybody says, "There's plenty of time and for the first or second year, you've got to enjoy your life in college."

Alas... self-disciplined students are hard to find in anywhere in the campus.

Time passes by, and now you're at the end of the road. You are senior, and everybody is trying to get good scores in TOEIC. It's not that you want to, but you have to. But for quite a lot period, you haven't had any chance to learn and practice English just because you were busy playing around!

English just comes to you as an exam stuff. You don't just think that it's a LANGUAGE. You just go and try to get the shortcut to obtain the required scores.

But just give a thought to this. Most Korean students starts learning English(quite specifically, learning how to get the scores you need) at the same time, they pick out the same book(김대균, 토마토 or so), they go and get the similar scores and they stay at the same level - they can't write or talk in English!

I want university students to be reminded of this : English is a language and you should keep learning everyday - If you stop, next time you must start again from the very beginning.

Be aware of this simple lesson I gave you or English will push you around always...
